Soma (carisoprodol) is a muscle relaxant that can relieve pain as a result of some muscle injury. Soma must never be taken by a person with a history of drug or alcohol addiction, as this is a drug or abuse. Never share this medicine with other people as they may develop symptoms that cannot be foreseen. The following serious side effects must be reported to your health care provider right away: burning in the eyes, weakness, difficulty breathing, and fever. Mild side effects are not supposed to be reported as they typically disappear on their own. Let your doctor know if you get skin rash, dizziness, clumsiness, vomiting, headache, fast heart rate, upset stomach, and drowsiness only if those symptoms persist or become bothersome. Soma must be taken regularly for you to benefit from the treatment as much as possible. If you happened to miss a dose – take it as soon as you remember. However, if you are going to take another dose soon – skip the one you missed. Taking a double dose is not going to make your treatment more efficient and can lead to an overdose, with such symptoms displaying as fainting, light-headedness, vision problems, muscle stiffness, shallow breathing, confusion, hallucinations, and fast heartbeat.
